The Consolidated Programmes Implementation Unit has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of Talent Retention for Rural Transformation Project and intends to apply part of the financing to payments for contracts for goods, works and services.

The procurement program for the 2 years period will include the following:

 

Procurements for 2021-2022

Estimated value – 912 905 EUR

 

Procurement of goods to include:

1)    Computer and printers, 10 units

2)    Furniture, 10 sets

3)    Water quality analyzes (for 7 infrastructure projects)

4)    Workshops and studies (Annual progress reports, Training and studies, International and regional meetings for project staff)

5)    Lessons learned, best practices and dissemination (TRTP window on CPIU IFAD web site)

Procurement of works to include:

1)    One infrastructure project (irrigation systems)

Procurement of consulting services to include:

1)    Consultancies services for awareness raising and mobilization/outreach/MSE information and mobilization (Contract for multi-annual awareness and mobilization)

2)    Feasibility study of investment proposals and Business plan development and mentoring

3)    On-farm Training and Implementation Support and On-farm Water Management proposals

4)    Conservation Agriculture National inventory / Develop curricula for Conservation Agriculture for University and College and training material

5)    Supervision of works (selection of one technical responsible)

6)    Strengthening of MARDE for economic analysis/Strengthening of MARDE for market analysis/Regulations and policy development (Assistance NCFM in policy development)

7)    Diagnostic survey for value chains/Annual progress reports and data collection/Baseline survey and report/Baseline for climate vulnerability

8)    Affordable credit for youth and women

9)    Water Management for Demo Plots

 

Contracts for goods, works and services will be implemented according to the principles, rules and procedures set out in the current versions of the IFAD Project Procurement Guidelines and IFAD Procurement Handbook.

 

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be tendered under the competitive bidding procedures will be announced as they become available on selected portals, in local newspapers, and other media outlets as appropriate.
